This benefits not only you, but also the company in the host country.

To be able to embark on this adventure without any worries, reliable insurance cover is particularly important. After all, you can also get sick abroad and there are many other risks, that you should protect yourself against.

A few practical examples:

  • After an accident, you will need a lengthy dental treatment.
  • You are seriously ill and a member of your family would like to come.
  • You stumble and spill your coffee on the host family's carpet.
  • On a day trip, your baggage is stolen on the bus.

We therefore recommend that you take out complete cover, including health insurance, personal liability insurance, accident insurance and assistance insurance.

All these insurances are included in a PROTRIP-WORLD insurance package. If you are under 29 years of age, you can even get PROTRIP-WORLD at a special rate

Insurance cover belongs in your baggage

The goal and task of the student organization AIESEC is to help students around the world to grow into socially relevant roles through leadership experience. By participating in social projects or internships abroad, you will expand your professional skills, improve your foreign language skills and increase your intercultural communication skills. AIESEC supports you in your preparations for going abroad, you have to take care of the insurance coverage yourself. Under no circumstances should you travel abroad without a suitable international insurance policy.

How do I find the right insurance?

In many countries of the world there are regulations on how you must insure yourself. If you go abroad via a program, insurance cover is often already provided via the program. The insurance offers of many programs and universities are suitable and you don't need to do anything else. However, sometimes the insurance cover is not the same as you are used to in your home country. Therefore you should take your time before leaving and check the insurance offered. Under no circumstances should you travel abroad without a suitable foreign insurance.

Here are some questions you should clarify:

  • What are the requirements for insurance cover in the country of travel?
  • Does the insurance also apply to the outward and return journey and in the time before and after the program?
  • Are other benefits included in addition to comprehensive protection in the event of illness and accidents?
  • Is there protection in case of interruption of your activity, for example for a holiday?
  • Does the insurance also cover sports accidents?
